About The Facilitators

Alice Shaw and Lisa Sze, both photographers and clairvoyant healers, are the co-founders of Pivot Workshops. They met during a three-year training program aimed at refining their psychic abilities. Together, they offer in-person workshops, live online events, self-paced online courses and have archived talks available on their YouTube channel. In addition, they have a podcast called,  Behind the Surface: Seeing Beyond What the Eyes See available on most podcast platforms. Individually, they provide clairvoyant readings and healing sessions.

In 2017, Alice and Lisa collaborated with photographer Jim Goldberg on an installation at the Minnesota Street Project in San Francisco. This collaboration was part of a project for Larry Sultan's retrospective exhibition in partnership with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. They conducted a live clairvoyant reading during the "Fake Newsroom"  for that event at MSP. In 2020, they produced the series "Behind The Surface: Seeing Beyond What The Eyes See" for MSP.tv, an Instagram show where they performed psychic readings on topical issues and engaged in thought-provoking discussions about consciousness.

Alice Shaw has been teaching photography for over 20 years at various institutions in California, including UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, the San Francisco Art Institute, the California College of the Arts, and Mills College. She holds a master's degree from the San Francisco Art Institute and currently teaches at Northeastern University. Alice is an Artadia Grant Awardee, and her work is included in the collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Her book titled "People Who Look Like Me" was published by Gallery 16 in San Francisco, where she is also represented.

Lisa Sze is a commercial photographer with two decades of experience. Her clients range from celebrities and athletes to politicians, nonprofits, academic institutions, and major corporations like MIT, Harvard, and Wells Fargo. She has a broad scope of work, including portraiture and architecture. Lisa attended the Academy of Art University and holds a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the California Institute of Integral Studies. Through her business, Ninety Degrees Latitude, Lisa offers clairvoyant readings and healings.

Through their collaboration, they have a shared mission to assist individuals in achieving clarity and gaining a broader perspective in their lives. Their focus is on equipping others with practical and effective tools, as well as valuable knowledge, that can empower individuals to experience greater fulfillment, happiness, and reach their fullest potential. By offering these resources, Alice and Lisa strive to support personal growth and enable individuals to navigate life with increased awareness, purpose, and self-empowerment.

In episode 1 Alice and Lisa talk about their psychic abilities and how they see using their clairvoyance (clear seeing).
